Participants will explore evidence-based instructional practices aligned to the Flexible Gradual Release of Responsibility (GRR) framework and the Daily Lesson Structure, with a focus on maximizing instructional impact through clear, direct, and explicit teaching. Drawing on research highlighting the importance of increased instructional dosage and high-quality whole-class instruction, participants will examine how purposeful, teacher-led modeling and explicit language support equitable access to grade-level learning for all students, particularly those who require additional support.
Educators will learn to intentionally select, sequence, and adapt instructional strategies across the four phases of GRR to promote engagement, formative assessment, collaboration, and independent learning while ensuring students receive ample opportunities for guided practice, discussion, reading, writing, and knowledge building. Participants will deepen their understanding of how explicit instruction, frequent checks for understanding, targeted reteaching, and responsive decision-making contribute to increased student ownership, achievement, and outcomes.
As part of this course, participants will engage in an individualized instructional coaching cycle with their Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS). The coaching cycle will include collaborative goal setting, co-planning, instructional coaching conversations, classroom implementation, observations, and analysis of student learning evidence. Educators will work one-on-one with their ISS to reflect on instructional practices, analyze the impact of explicit teaching moves and instructional strategies, and make data-informed adjustments that strengthen implementation of the Flexible GRR framework.
Particular attention will be given to the use of direct and explicit language, effective whole-class instruction, guided practice, checks for understanding, and strategic small-group instruction when warranted by student need. The cycle is designed to support continuous professional growth through coaching, modeling, co-teaching opportunities, observation, feedback, and impact analysis, ensuring that instructional decisions maximize learning opportunities and improve outcomes for all students.

亚色影库 – Graduate-Level Extension Credit Information
The 亚色影库 partners with this program to offer graduate-level extension credit(s) in semester hours through the Credit Validation Program. To earn units, participants must register for and successfully complete coursework through the external program provider.
Credits earned through 亚色影库’s Credit Validation Program are widely accepted by many school districts and universities across the United States for purposes such as license renewal, required professional development hours, short-term skill building, salary advancement, credentialing, and potential advanced degree pathways.
These units do not apply toward a master’s or higher degree program at the 亚色影库; however, they may be transferable to advanced degree programs (e.g., MA, EdD, PhD) at other institutions that accept external graduate-level credits.
Participants are responsible for confirming acceptance, transcript requirements, deadlines, and applicability of units with their employing district or intended institution prior to enrollment.
If you would like to purchase Continuing Education Units (CEUs) instead of 亚色影库 Graduate-Level Extension Credit (GLEC), CEU participants will receive a Confirmation of Completion Letter documenting the CEUs earned, which can be downloaded and provided as a PDF for professional records.
